This week DA and KnotNice interview one of the TEASE 2011 Headliners - Master C; a  Canadian patriarch of a 21 member poly male gay leather family.

At 50 Master-C AKA MSDDTC  (Master, Sir, Daddy, Dog Trainer Chuck) is a well-respected and active member of the Sudbury, North Bay, and Toronto gay and pansexual Kink communities.  Master Chuck first entered the gay leather scene in 1986 when he met his primary partner of 22 years, Rocco, who is into gangster sex, 1920s mob hits and kidnappings. In May 2009, was honored at a Masters’ dinner and received his Master’s Cover in the presence of one of Toronto’s most prominent and well-respected Masters, several Sirs and 5 of his subs.

A listener sends in a great e-mail with 4 very interesting and thought provoking questions.

1) How does one approach another for potential casual play? How does one like to be approached for casual play? How exactly do you go about negotiating in a casual manner rather than presenting a list of limits- soft/hard? Do you negotiate for yourself or do you have someone with you while negotiating or negotiate on your behalf? (For example- negotiations go through a mentor, protector, your current partner (Master/Sir/Daddy))

2) How do you handle an unexpected reaction in a scene? From both the Top/Dominant/Master and the Bottom/submissive/slave perspective? For example- crying when not expected, having a sexual reaction with a casual play partner in a public setting, no reaction, very emotional and or vocal, feelings of anger or aggression, boredom, hitting a wall or triggering an emotional past occurrence?

3) How do you deal with feelings of inadequacy? What steps do you take to rectify them? For example feeling as if you or your actions are not pleasing enough; you are not submissive enough; you feel as if somewhere inside you, there is a better slave/submissive waiting to be tapped but you don’t know how to get there; feeling as if you are not living up to either your dominants or your own self imposed expectations. From a different vantage point- how do you deal with having a submissive that has more experience than you? How do you deal with types of play that your submissive wishes to explore but really do not strike your fancy? How do you deal with feelings that you are not mentally pushing your submissive as far as she can go, or not satisfying their need to submit?

4) Apart from chemistry, let’s say not a sexual relationship- How does one go about selecting/picking /choosing a Dom/Master/Sir or submissive/slave/bottom in either on line or real life? In other words how to pick a play partner? Specifically individuals experiences on how they do it, tips and tricks that they have learned about themselves through time and lessons learned- what do they now avoid based upon experience and knowledge of themselves.

This week Dark Angel and KnotNice start off by reading about a fictitious (and sarcastic) new Workshop - to teach Predators how to scoop up all the fresh newbie meat.

Dark Angel gives a bit of a rant, based on a discussion he had with a newbie the night before in chat. The newbie tells him how a well respected and experienced couple in the Community are meeting her for the first time; they invited her to their home - for her FIRST meeting ever. Dark Angel illustrates that this sets a poor example for a newbie.

Dark Angel and KnotNice discuss common predator behavior, as well as red flags which should warn a newbie or an experienced person, before meeting.

The boys talk about how predators use common real-life community positions to manipulate their victims, such as offering to be someone’s mentor or protector after having just met online two days previously. Even though such positions are honorable and have good merits in the community, the boys illustrate how predators manipulate the system and us how something should set off red flags.

Based on their mutual experience, DA and KN illustrate how a newbie is the number one person responsible for their own safety, and how the community is and should be a support. Newbies are adults who are responsible for their own actions, but experienced members of our community do have an obligation to be supportive and at the very least to be a good example.
